"Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" Campaign (2026–27) Plantation
Hamid Chara Army Goodwill School, Chandigam proudly organized the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" Campaign (2026–27) with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental conservation. The campaign, inspired by the theme of planting a tree in honour of one's mother, aims to strengthen the emotional bond between people and nature while promoting sustainable environmental practices.
The plantation drive witnessed active participation from students, teachers, and staff members, who came together to plant saplings within and around the school premises. The initiative emphasized the importance of increasing green cover, conserving biodiversity, and protecting the environment for future generations. Participants were encouraged to plant indigenous and long-lived tree species that are suitable for the local climate, ensuring better survival and long-term ecological benefits.
During the programme, students were sensitized about the vital role of trees in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality, conserving water, preventing soil erosion, and combating climate change.
